Andersen Windows is continuing its construction streak with a $35 million project in Cottage Grove, the company announced Wednesday.
The 350,000-square-foot warehouse and office building will be next to its Renewal By Andersen factory at 9900 Jamaica Avenue.
The new facility comes in addition to a $40 million factory addition in Bayport in 2018, a planned $105 million factory near Phoenix, Ariz., and $45 million in recent expansion projects in Cottage Grove and North Branch.
The new project would be next to the Cottage Grove factory, and would be the same size. The existing factory employs about 700 workers, and the new project will add about 125 more, according to Andersen spokeswoman Eliza Chlebeck.
The two buildings will be connected with a covered passageway for moving materials.
The new project would be built on 28 acres in Cottage Grove’s business park. The Cottage Grove City Council approved the project at a meeting earlier this month.
Chlebeck said the project is contingent on Andersen receiving $1.25 million from the state in various grants.
