An informational meeting about sex trafficking will be held Thursday, Aug. 18, at Cottage Grove City Hall, 12800 Ravine Parkway S.
The event will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
“Sex Trafficking: What Parents and Teens Need to Know,” will be presented by Imran Ali, an assistant Washington County attorney.
The county attorney’s office announced in November that it was forming a major crimes unit whose first priority would be to combat trafficking of juveniles for sex.
The FBI has ranked Minnesota as 13th-highest in the nation in the number of reported incidents of sex trafficking, according to the Washington County attorney’s office.
